Momma's Eggnog

Steps

  1. Beat yolks and gradually add 1/3 c of sugar till dissolved.
  2. Add milk, heavy cream, bourbon, nutmeg (to taste).
  3. Set aside.
  4. Whisk 4 egg whites with 1 T sugar to peak.
  5. Whisk into egg yolk mixture.
  6. Pour into glasses and sprinkle with nutmeg.

Notes

  • I doubled this recipe and served 10.
  • Can also do a non-alcoholic version.

  • 4 egg yolks, beaten
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 T sugar
  • 0.33 c sugar
  • 1 pint whole milk
  • 1 c heavy crean
  • 3 oz bourbon
  • nutmeg
